The Longines Masters of Los Angeles ended on Sunday afternoon with the victory of Daniel Deusser on Equita van’t Zorgvliet during the Longines Grand Prix, after four days of high-level show jumping competition. On Friday evening, the Swiss watch brand presented the other highlight of the event, the Longines Speed Challenge won by Nayel Nassar on Lordan. The Longines Masters of Los Angeles launched the second season of the intercontinental series, which will continue in Paris in December and finish in Hong Kong in February.
The Longines Masters of Los Angeles reached its climax on Sunday afternoon with the Longines Grand Prix won by Daniel Deusser on Equita van’t Zorgvliet. The German rider received a Longines watch from the hands of Charles Villoz, Vice President of the winged hourglass brand, to honour his amazing performance.
Earlier in the weekend Longines took part in the Pro-Am for Charity, a competition, which is run by pairs of riders, one from among the world’s best professional riders and an “amateur”. Longines Ambassador of Elegance Jane Richard Philips and Destry Spielberg competed for the charity organization JustWorld International.
On Friday evening, Longines had the pleasure to welcome its Ambassador of Elegance Mikaela Shiffrin at the event. The talented alpine skier was present to encourage the riders during the Longines Speed Challenge. This trial, known as the fastest in the world, was won by Nayel Nassar on Lordan.
Longines is delighted to lend its name to this 5* show-jumping event and provide its timekeeping expertise to all its trials. Set with diamonds, this timepiece displays a silver-coloured “flinqué” dial adorned with painted Roman numerals and a rose gold hourglass. It is mounted on a steel and rose gold cap bracelet.
