Breitling’s colorful tribute to the original SuperOcean, and the very essence of style at sea. The Superocean Heritage ’57 Pastel Paradise Capsule Collection reuses several design elements from the original 1957 SuperOcean such as the concave ceramic bezel, oversized indexes and arrow-shaped hour hand. But what started as a neat 1950s divers’ watch has evolved into a sleek and fresh watch with a bit of sass and a lot of versatility. Think playsuits, pink flamingos, and headbands setting off perfectly flipped hair. Imagine a carefree and confident lady enjoying a seaside resort, sporting big sunglasses and swinging a straw handbag. Available in a tempting range of summer shades, the Superocean Heritage ’57 Pastel Paradise Capsule Collection is all about color, proportion and of course substance. It features a 38mm stainless steel case with matching tone-on-tone dials, ceramic bezels and Saffiano calfskin straps. Those who want a custom color combination will love the quick-exchange system for swapping out the straps, which also come in additional colors. The Superocean Heritage ’57 Pastel Paradise is powered by the Breitling Caliber 10, a COSC-certified chronometer.

Faqs

Do I need to wind an automatic mechanical watch?

The movement of a mechanical watch is driven by a spring, called mainspring, which needs to be wound. This can either be done manually, using the crown, or, in the case of an automatic mechanical watch, by using the kinetic energy provided by the wearer’s movements.

However, we recommend fully winding your automatic watch as well, whenever it has stopped (for example if it hasn’t been worn during a few days) before putting it back on your wrist. Thereafter the energy provided by your movements will maintain the tension of the main spring that drives the mechanism.
To fully wind your watch, we recommend rotating the crown 40 times in a clockwise direction.

Is my Breitling covered under warranty? How long does the warranty last?

All Breitling watches are covered by an international warranty valid for two years after purchase, except for watches with a mechanical manufacture movement, which are covered during 5 years (provided that water resistance tests are performed every 2 years following the date of purchase by an authorized Breitling service center).

The warranty coverage applies to any manufacturing defect, within the frame of the warranty conditions, and entails that Breitling will take any corrective action that is necessary to ensure the watch performs as per standard.

Additionally, all work performed by an authorized Breitling service center, and mentioned on the corresponding invoice/delivery note, is under warranty during the amount of time mentioned on the invoice

What is the difference between a maintenance service and a complete service?

A maintenance service is recommended every 2 years and includes: checking movement parameters and watch functions, changing all seals, checking water resistance, cleaning the case and metal bracelet; changing the battery for quartz watches.

A complete service is recommended every 4 to 6 years and includes: disassembly, cleaning and replacing of standard movement parts, assembly, lubrication, adjustment and setting of movement function parameters; changing all seals, partial changing of hands and checking of water resistance; refurbishment* of the case and metal bracelet; changing the battery for quartz watches.

*Excludes models with black carbon surface treatments.

Breitling Watches Brand History

Léon Breitling focused on chronographs, which were increasingly in demand at the time for industrial, military, and scientific applications as well as for athletic organizations. In 1889, Léon Breitling was granted a patent for a simplified model, which distinguished itself from its competitors through its sleek design, uncomplicated manufacturing process, and straightforward maintenance. Léon Breitling passed away in 1914 and his son Gaston took over the family business. He had inherited his father’s pioneering spirit, innovative flair, and an insatiable passion for chronographs, which he demonstrated in 1915 with the launch of one of the world’s first wrist chronographs with a separate push-piece above the watch crown.
