The Tudor Black Bay 39 M79660-0001 stands as a beacon of refined craftsmanship and reliability. Its 39mm stainless steel case, polished and satin-finished, shelters the Manufacture Calibre MT5602 (COSC), a self-winding mechanical movement with a bidirectional rotor system, boasting a robust 70-hour power reserve. The screw-down crown, adorned with the Tudor rose, ensures water resistance up to 100m. The stainless steel bezel, polished and satin-finished, adds a touch of sophistication. The anthracite dial exudes a timeless appeal, protected by a flat sapphire crystal. The ensemble is completed by a stainless steel bracelet, polished and satin-finished, featuring a TUDOR “T-fit” folding clasp and safety catch. The Black Bay 39 epitomizes the perfect fusion of style and substance.

HANS WILSDORF'S INTUITION

HANS WILSDORF'S INTUITION

“For some years now, I have been considering the idea of making a watch that our agents could sell at a more modest price than our Rolex watches, and yet one that would attain the standard of dependability for which Rolex is famous. I decided to form a separate company, with the object of making and marketing this new watch. It is called the TUDOR watch company.”

Brand Heritage

BIRTH OF THE BRAND

BIRTH OF THE BRAND

In February 1926, Hans Wilsdor had the trademark "The Tudor" registered and started making watches bearing that signature on the dial. Just after the Second World War, Hans Wilsdorf knew that the time had come to expand and give the brand a proper identity of its own. On 6 March 1946, he created "Montres TUDOR S.A.", specializing in models for both men and women. Rolex would guarantee the technical, aesthetic and functional characteristics, along with the distribution and after-sales service.
