TUDOR

Black Bay Chrono “Flamingo Blue”

Ref: M79360N-0024

$6,050.00

Breaking convention has been the modus operandi of TUDOR since the very beginning. This Black Bay Chrono exemplifies this daring spirit with its “Flamingo Blue” dial, named after the very tone of turquoise that is so distinctive of the tropical waters flamingos are known to love, and delivers the classic South Beach vibe. It features a column wheel and vertical clutch chronograph calibre as well as a five-link bracelet featuring the T-Fit clasp. This watch is part of a special range of watches that are made for those who dare to be different.   The Black Bay Chrono model, M79360N-0024 , seamlessly fuses TUDOR’s long history of crafting professional divers’ watches with a sports chronograph. This watch features contrasting sub-counters and a high-performance automatic Manufacture Calibre, with column-wheel construction and vertical clutch. Boasting a 70-hour power reserve and a silicon balance spring, the Manufacture MT5813 Chronograph Calibre is certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), with its performance exceeding the standards set by this independent institute.

HANS WILSDORF'S INTUITION

HANS WILSDORF'S INTUITION

“For some years now, I have been considering the idea of making a watch that our agents could sell at a more modest price than our Rolex watches, and yet one that would attain the standard of dependability for which Rolex is famous. I decided to form a separate company, with the object of making and marketing this new watch. It is called the TUDOR watch company.”

Brand Heritage

BIRTH OF THE BRAND

BIRTH OF THE BRAND

In February 1926, Hans Wilsdor had the trademark "The Tudor" registered and started making watches bearing that signature on the dial. Just after the Second World War, Hans Wilsdorf knew that the time had come to expand and give the brand a proper identity of its own. On 6 March 1946, he created "Montres TUDOR S.A.", specializing in models for both men and women. Rolex would guarantee the technical, aesthetic and functional characteristics, along with the distribution and after-sales service.
