Girard-Perregaux unveiled its makeover at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva from January 15th to 19th 2018. The new Laureato, Classic, Neo-Bridges and Cat’s Eye models were showcased in an entirely redesigned setting that was at once dynamic and refined. The keynotes were modernity, harmony and contemplation, expressed through a wood-enhanced décor in écru, sandy and bronze shades, along with intriguing minimalist displays. At the centre of this aesthetically pure universe was a dome screening 360° images conveying the brand spirit. All of which made for a captivating (re) discovery of the Girard-Perregaux world.
The Manufacture had thus chosen to portray itself in a new light at this year’s SIHH. With its entirely revamped booth, the brand from La Chaux-de-Fonds highlighted its creativity and its expertise amid an airy and vibrant atmosphere. Vivid colours, sophisticated understatement, along with lively, graphic and pared-down displays ensured that watches were more than ever the true stars of this plush, hushed environment.
An array of icons
The line-up notably featured the charismatic Laureato, which is extending its new casual chic range with a new line of chronographs, black or white ceramic variations, as well as prestigious skeleton models. The emblematic Bridges collection is also welcoming some remarkable additions, such as the Minute Repeater Tri-Axial Tourbillon, the Classic Bridges, along with the futuristic expression of this historical signature: the Neo Tourbillon with Three Bridges Skeleton. Meanwhile, the legendary Cat’s Eye Day and Night stole women’s hearts with a stunning High Jewellery creation featuring a midnight blue aventurine dial.
Temple of Time
At the heart of this light-filled setting, Girard-Perregaux invited visitors to enjoy a captivating sensory experience: looking upward to admire the images screened on a 360-degree dome. Thus surrounded by animated images, onlookers both saw and sensed the celestial origins of time, the expertise, the energy, the technologies and the materials that shape each Girard-Perregaux watch, as well as the roots of the Maison.
