On Thursday, July 18, 2019, Westime and Bulgari came together to host a festive Italian themed block party event to celebrate the opening of the first-ever Octo Lounge on Rodeo Drive.
Dedicated to the Italian brand’s iconic Octo Finissimo collection - The Octo Lounge offers the first space in the brand’s history with a fully immersive experience devoted to men’s watches. A 360° free access tower display allows visitors to interact with the brand’s most iconic watches through a unique digital storytelling approach. Using video content and dedicated touchscreens, visitors will learn all about the watches’ technical breakthroughs and movements while maneuvering them to their will for a complete discovery of each piece, facet by facet.
Inspired by the Octo Finissimo, the entrance to Westime was beautifully decorated with an octo-shaped hedge for a perfect photo moment for guests to enjoy. Notable guests in attendance were Westime’s President Greg Simonian and Bulgari’s President and CEO Daniel Paltridge. Delicious passed hors d’oeuvres consisted of ricotta toast, crispy broccoli floret, branzino carpaccio, chicken crocchetta and prosciutto and melon candy – along with a full display of select fresh burrata mozzarella and cheeses, assorted jams, nuts and bread. Also true to the theme, it’s not a summer evening in Italy without limoncello granitas and gelato pops by popbar. The “Stop Second Spritz” and “Tourbillon Twist” were the themed drinks of the night served by LA Speakeasy and sounds were spun by DJ Bobby French.
