BULGARI WINS THE “AIGUILLE D’OR”

 

On Thursday November 4th, the Jury of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie rewarded the Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar with the most prestigious prize of all.

With four out of four watches nominated for the final of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, Bulgari was awarded the best in show prize “Aiguille d’Or”, rewarding the finest watch across all categories. This distinction goes to Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar, as well as celebrating the epic saga of extreme thinness undertaken by Bulgari with Octo Finissimo. Seventh in an unbroken line of world records since 2014 – the timepiece tells a story that has reshaped the watchmaking landscape in recent years.

PUSHING THE LIMITS OF WATCHMAKING

 

With no less than 408 components flawlessly interacting within an ultra-thin 5.80mm case, the Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar redefines the limits of contemporary fine watchmaking. All the technology needed to keep perfect time until February 2100 has been miniaturized into its record-breaking movement, measuring just 2.75 mm, in a challenging union of aesthetics and functionality.
