The Alpine Eagle Cadence 8HF Has Landed

HIGH FREQUENCY IN A LIMITED EDITION

Exceeding all expectations once again, Chopard adds the 2021 Alpine Eagle Cadence 8HF to the iconic Alpine Eagle sports watch collection. Combining precision and sporty style, this limited edition watch is a masterpiece of high frequency watchmaking.

This powerful new timepiece houses the most advanced movement to come out of Chopard’s workshops, the Calibre 01.12-C, beating at a frequency of 8 Hz. This COSC-certified movement is the product of several technologies that reconcile contractionary objectives: chronometry, autonomy and reliability. Topped with a 60-hour power reserve and a sapphire crystal caseback that reveals its beating heart, the Cadence 8HF is a masterpiece of watchmaking prowess.

While at first glance, the Alpine Eagle Cadence 8HF is reminiscent of the Alpine Eagle Large in Lucent Steel A223, this new edition is entirely made of titanium, an innovation for this iconic collection. This material brings both comfort and strength, allowing for a very light but robust 41 mm watch. Pushing it to the next level, the usually high friction components have been crafted using monocrystalline silicon, a self-lubricating material. By reducing friction to its minimum, Chopard eliminates the need for traditional watchmaking lubricants and guarantees the movement’s longevity.

Eagle-eye precision is awarded to the details on this timepiece, from the hand-patinated dial marked with a pattern reminiscent of the iris of the eye of an eagle, a direct tribute to the bird’s piercing vision, to the satin-brushed bezel, case middle and wide-linked bracelet. The Alpine Eagle codes remain present throughout while two inscriptions make this new model even more unique: “8 HZ Chronometer” can be read below Chopard’s name along with Chopard’s signature for high frequency watches, a dynamic arrow-shaped logo; and the words “Cadence 8HF” on the sapphire crystal exhibition case-back.
