Shamballa Jewels

Brand Heritage

Westime

In 2001, Mads Kornerup designed what is known today as the iconic Shamballa Bracelet. The bracelet comprised of diamond studded gold beads strung together by the ancient macramé technique. Together the brothers developed the bracelet designs further and they have since expanded our repertoire to include rings, earrings, cufflinks and necklaces. Today, the spirit of Shamballa Jewels remains equally fuelled by innovation and tradition. The Shamballa bracelet is inspired by the Buddhist mala, which is used to count each breath or each recited Mantra. The counting of breaths or mantras can eventually lead to the full blossom of one’s potential. Many other traditions use similar methods of breath awareness, and all have one thing in common: to relax the mind by listening to the breath. The star of Shamballa mark on our jewelry is a declaration of premium quality and craftsmanship. Made from 18 ct. gold, white G/VS diamonds, colored diamonds, precious stones & class A-B pearls, our jewelry is set, polished and braided by hand. In every Shamballa bracelet a Shamballa star will be present. The star is a reminder to the brain that the body emanates heat and light and is made of similar matter as the stars in our sky. Just like a star shines, we too can shine, and a true smile shines the brightest. Star musician Jay Z was the first to custom order a Shamballa Bracelet. Today, Karl Lagerfeld, HRH Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, HRH Crown Princess Mette Marit of Norway, Carine Roitfeld, Gwyneth Paltrow, Diane Von Furstenberg and Giorgio Armani are amongst the discerning collectors of our jewelry.
