From the earliest days of underwater exploration, the pioneers of modern diving relied on bronze for their equipment.
For the new BR-03 Diver Black Bronze, Bell & Ross selected an alloy composed of 92% copper and 8% tin, resulting in a luminous coppery hue that is visually close to gold. Bronze is a material that develops a patina over time. As a result, each BR-03 in this 999-piece limited edition will acquire a unique appearance and personality based on its owner’s usage.

The timepiece—a circle within a square—features a 42mm bronze case, black lacquered dial, and “bathtub-style” hands and indices filled with white Super-Luminova that guarantees legibility at 25 centimeters in total darkness. The rotating bezel, carved from solid bronze, features a black ceramic ring and markings for measuring dive time. The BR-03 is water-resistant to 300 meters, thanks in part to its telescopic screw-down crown, screw-down case back, and extra-thick sapphire crystal.
Owners of the new automatic dive watch will receive two straps: a black rubber strap appropriate for diving, and a black synthetic canvas strap for daily use.
