This necessitated a hitherto unknown integration of movement and case. Part of the switch mechanism for the time zone selection is integrated into the case, which makes this one of the most complex mechanical watches in the world. The innovative monopusher at 10 o’clock that controls this mechanism has been patented by Carl F. Bucherer.
