Introducing the Tudor Black Bay 54 M79000N-0001, a triumph of precision and elegance. Its 37mm stainless steel case, polished and satin-finished, houses the Manufacture Calibre MT5400 (COSC), a self-winding mechanical movement with a bidirectional rotor system, ensuring accuracy. With a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, this timepiece is driven by excellence. The stainless steel screw-down crown, adorned with the Tudor rose, enhances its waterproofness to 200m. The 60-minute unidirectional bezel in stainless steel with an aluminum insert and a domed black dial, protected by a sapphire crystal, radiate classic charm. Completing the ensemble is a three-link stainless steel bracelet with a polished and satin finish and a TUDOR “T-fit” clasp, blending comfort with style.

“For some years now, I have been considering the idea of making a watch that our agents could sell at a more modest price than our Rolex watches, and yet one that would attain the standard of dependability for which Rolex is famous. I decided to form a separate company, with the object of making and marketing this new watch. It is called the TUDOR watch company.”

H. Wilsdorf

Brand Heritage

In February 1926, Hans Wilsdor had the trademark "The Tudor" registered and started making watches bearing that signature on the dial. Just after the Second World War, Hans Wilsdorf knew that the time had come to expand and give the brand a proper identity of its own. On 6 March 1946, he created "Montres TUDOR S.A.", specializing in models for both men and women. Rolex would guarantee the technical, aesthetic and functional characteristics, along with the distribution and after-sales service.
