Glashütte Original’s “Northern Tide” limited editions of its SeaQ and SeaQ Panorama Date timepieces feature striking turquoise dials framed by a black degrade, combining the attributes of a professional diving watch, a refined style statement, and a precision instrument. Both timepieces are built with exceptional robustness, water-resistance and reliability. The unidirectional rotating bezel features a black ceramic insert that complements the dial gradient. Generously applied Super-LumiNova ensures that the hands, numerals and indexes remain highly legible even in darkness. Both models feature a stainless-steel case with a sapphire crystal case back revealing the refined mechanics within. Each is supplied with both a stainless-steel bracelet and an additional black synthetic strap. The SeaQ measures 39.5 mm and is powered by the automatic in-house Calibre 39-11 displaying hours, minutes, seconds and the date at 3 o’clock. It is water-resistant to 200 meters. The SeaQ Panorama Date measures 43.2 mm in diameter. The signature complication of its automatic Calibre 36-13 is the Panorama Date at 4 o’clock, created from two concentric, equally levelled discs without a separating bar. Its case makes it water-resistant to 300 meters.
Both movements are assembled, decorated and regulated by hand. Through the sapphire crystal case back, observers can appreciate Glashütte’s movement decoration including blued screws and a striped finish. Each watch is limited to 100 pieces, and available only at points of sale in North America.
