Chopard Revisits its Ground-Breaking Sports Watch for Women with Happy Sport The First Timepieces

This watch was designed by a woman, for women, and its name was Happy Sport. “I wanted a watch that could accompany me at every moment of the day:  sporty, feminine and joyful, one that could be worn just as easily with jeans as with a cocktail dress,” Scheufele says.  In Happy Sport, diamonds didn’t just orbit the dial—they could glide and twirl above it, becoming part of the very movement of time.

Today, Chopard returns to this founding gesture with Happy Sport the First, a collection that revisits the spirit of the original watch now reborn in 26mm and 33mm sizes. Soft proportions, fluid lines, and a sensual second-skin feel define the silhouette, while the signature happy diamonds housed within their gold capsules continue to shimmer with irrepressible joy.

The new timepieces feature one of the original watch’s most distinctive elements: the pebble-link bracelet. Its design draws inspiration from pebbles shaped by the sea. Entirely redesigned and crafted in-house, the bracelet drapes fluidly around the wrist. The dial reveals an interplay of textures and tones including a silver tone, midnight blue Roman numerals, a railway minute track, and blued sword-shaped hands. Freely suspended between two sapphire crystals with double anti-reflective treatment, the happy diamonds (five on the 26mm and seven on the 33mm) resist stillness.

The collection is crafted in Lucent Steel™, Chopard’s exclusive steel made with a recycling rate of 80%, as well as in two-tone Lucent Steel and ethical yellow gold, or all ethical yellow gold. Its movement is Quartz-powered.
